But what if you could slow the wind across your active face, reducing the amount of litter, dust, and odor that becomes airborne in the first place? And what if you could combine that wind reduction capability with litter catching capability, all in a mobile system? You can with our combined mobile system that integrates both WindPatrolTM Mobile Wind Screens and Litter Fences. WindPatrol Mobile Wind Screens are placed at the upwind side of your active face to slow wind speed across it, while WindPatrol Mobile Litter Fences are placed on the downwind side to stop any litter that does manage to become airborne. This system provides complete control of wind and litter right at your active face, reducing or eliminating the need for other interventions. And as site and wind conditions change, your machine operator can move these wind screens and litter fences "on the fly" while he stays on his machine. WindPatrol Mobile Wind Screens are equipped with different screens than the Mobile Litter Fences. These screens are designed specifically to slow wind speed and turbulence. Scientific testing in the field has demonstrated they reduce wind speed on the order of 50%. With a balance of "open" versus "closed" area, this design strikes an optimum balance between wind reduction and load on the screen.
